What makes a number permanent
A permanent number is rented by the month and stays assigned to you for as long as you keep paying. Every code and call sent to it reaches you, including the ones that come months later: a login from a new phone, a password reset, a bank confirmation. That is the difference from a one-time number, which receives one code and is then released.

How long it stays yours
- The monthly fee is charged from your Telnum balance. Plans for 1, 3, 6 or 12 months are available, and some numbers have a minimum term of several months.
- If the balance runs out, the number is suspended until the debt is paid.
- A number that stays unpaid can be released and later assigned to another customer, so top up before the term ends if the number is tied to accounts you care about.
Documents and activation
Most SMS numbers for registration are issued without documents. Numbers for calls and toll-free numbers in many countries require an ID or company documents under local rules. Each requirement is listed in the country table before you buy, and numbers that need documents are activated once the documents are reviewed, usually within 1–2 business days and in rare cases up to 5.
Previously used numbers
Some numbers in the catalogue were used by another customer before. They work normally, but we cannot guarantee that such a number is not already registered with a particular service. If you need the number for specific services, tell support before you buy.
